God and Dog Review and Giveaway
GOD AND DOG is a phenomenon. First appearing on YouTube, the video of Wendy Francisco's charming animated illustrations and moving song tells of the unconditional love of both God and Dog.
With over 2 million YouTube viewings to date, Francisco's story appeals to all ages, to animal enthusiasts, to people of religious persuasions, and especially to anyone who has been loved by a dog.
Now in book format, Wendy's touching narrative will be expanded on through additional lyrics, illustrations, photographs and some of the powerful mail that is continually being sent to Francisco.
My Take: As readers of my personal blog may already know, I have a love/hate relationship with my dog. I even wrote my own storyblog about her. In fact, she is the muse to many of my posts. Did you know that if you spell God backwards, you get dog? Did you know that if you spell mad backwards and add an "n" at the end, you get part of what I call my dog?
The real truth is that she frustrates me at times but she is pretty special. There is a correlation between God and a good dog. Our dog, Sunday, joined our family just in time to give us a glimpse of hope. Aptly, we named her Sunday. The reason is found here. Actually, I'm not much of a promoter of my personal blog, but I invite you to take the time to read this post. It is relevant to any person who is struggling or tired.
WIN IT: Thanks to Anna of the Hachette Book Group, I have two (2) copies of DoG and GoD to giveaway!
To Enter: Tell me something that makes you happy!

My favorite animal was named Snoopy. He was a peacock. (He came to visit us from a neighboring farm and never went back. They never could catch him.) He got his name because whenever we were outside doing something he would come snooping around to see what we were up to. He loved to tease the cows and then run to the other side of the fence. He also loved to sit on the gate and yell at the cars going by on the road. Heh.
I still miss him.
Thanks for hosting this giveaway! :)
My favorite animals name is Queenie

My favorite animals are Seamus and Quinn. I can't pick one because then the other would say I am playing favorites and puke on my pillow.
Meanwhile, your checklist makes me feel like a creepy stalker. Shudder.
Well, I have two favorites. My dog Lexi who my family sadly got rid of when I went away to school ten years ago (my screen name still comes from her) and my cat Scarlet, who is the most loyal and dog-like of any cat I know (and I have three others, who thankfully are more than happy to let her be the favorite)
Interesting giveaway!

I'm happy when my "20 something" adult children come to me or call me and share something in their lives that brings them joy/happiness/contentment.
Thank you for sharing the story Sunday Will Come. I need to remember that when I am having a "Friday"

I have to share 2 favorite pet names because they were "best friends": my very fat cat (think Garfield) was named Sunshine. The vet said he was the most hyperactive cat he had ever seen. Then enters the calmer cat who becomes his best friend: Moonlight (of course, she is gray).
Moonlight had a difficult time when her best friend was no longer around (and so did I).

Toby was my favorite animal from ages 3 to 15...my best friend growing up. His loss made it too painful to get another dog until Keely 5 years ago at 23 who is an adored and treasured member of the family.
My friends have two cats named Dunlop and Michelin.
