Y'know, I honestly don't remember what I read this week. I know I've been working on "The Book Thief" but I didn't finish it. I started a new series called "House of Night." Vampyres and Wiccan rituals, new girl, special powers, love triangle, pressures of being a teenagers, gay friends, drug and alcohol use, losing virginity, and all that jazz.
There will be 12 in the series. I'm done. I wish I had stuck to "The Book Thief."
This week, my only goal is to finish
I'll be out of town for part of the week. My genius, fun-loving,
uncle died on Thursday. His family (my mom) is devastated.
I'm downer today. So sorry.

The Book Thief is truly wonderful, but something of a tear-jerker, so be sure to have tissues handy.

My sympathies to you and your family. Watching those we love suffer through the loss is worse than the loss itself.
The House If Night books are addicting - but yes there are many and I quit the series at I think book four. ALSO - finish Book Thief it is superfabtasilicious. Really.

Hopefully despite the difficult circumstances you will still be able to escape a bit in a book.
